Library

The library is the start of every project. In the library you can find all of your saved music in a neat interface.
It shows an overview of all the files that can be found in the SheetMusic or self-defined folder. It shows all the Titels of the music pieces, the Composer(s) and Instrument(s).



To add files to the library, press the add file button. A popup appears enabling you to select the files you want to add. To show all physical files in the directory, select the Show Files In Library Button .

Previewing the files
You can preview the files by pressing the Preview button
A preview of the music piece will be shown to the right of the library.


Filtering/searching through the music
Want to look quickly through the many pieces in the library? By clicking in the white text field you can filter the pieces based on the name/composer/...
You can also change the type of filter by clicking the grey button to the left to the text field(base name: All). Here you can choose from a large group of attributes:



Still not able to find what you are looking for? By pressing the button you can add even more fields. By pressing the you can remove fields that are no longer needed.

Sorting the music in a Playlist
When you have found the fields you want, you can open it by itself or add them to the playlist.
For opening a single file a simple click on the name of the item is sufficient.
For adding it to the playlist press the Playlist button to the right of a piece.
You can see the icon change to , specifying it has been added to the playlist. It should now show the piece on the playlist to the right. To remove the file press the -button in the playlist. You can easily clear the playlist by selecting the Clear Playlist button.
To save or load a playlist, use respectively the Save and Load button.

The playlist is very intuitive: you can easily drag the files to the spots where you want. This enables to create a set completely specified to your wishes.

Changing the sorting-tabs of the Library window
You can change the tabs shown in the Library window to sort by different types than Title, Composer and Instrument. You can for instance sort by Arranger, Genre or more by selecting the functions in the Settings panel. 
You can change these settings by using to the More-menu and pressing the Settings button. The first tab shows the options.

 

Removing files from library
On Windows you can remove files from the library by clicking the right mouse button.
You will then be asked to confirm the removal of the file.
Please be aware that files are removed immediately, there is no way to retrieve it, it's not added to trash.

On Mac OS it can be done with control-click. On a MacBook, a two finger double tap performs the right click button.
